Autumn walk around Saint-Melaine-sur-Aubance

Date 7 October

Venue: Saint-Melaine-sur-Aubance

Time: 10h00 prompt, followed by a picnic lunch at 12h00

Cost for members: No charge   Cost for non-members: No charge

We are most grateful to member Tony Oakley who has, once again, agreed to organise an Autumn Walk for us all to enjoy. These walks are always very popular, informal gatherings where we have the opportunity to see some beautiful countryside and have casual chats with everyone taking part. Members, non-members and friends are all most welcome.

This year the walk will take place around Saint-Melaine-sur-Aubance, situated between Brissac and Murs Erigné, about 10 kilometres south of Angers and cover around 8 kilometres.

After the walk we plan to have a picnic lunch together near the meeting point. Members and friends who do not wish to walk are very welcome to join the walkers for lunch around 12.00 to 12.30pm. Some tables and benches are available but if you are able to bring your own, this could be very helpful.

There will not now be a mushroom hunt as hoped as Malinda Crispin is not in good health and will be unable to organise it.

The committee is planning one more event for October. We hope to meet in a restaurant in or near Angers for lunch Saturday 22 October.
