Here are the events for this year, not only those of the ESU Loire Valley, but other associations too. We have everything from quizzes to hog roasts.

Congratulations to Colin Morison for his first-placed photo « Sunrise » in the February photo competition. There were 3 entries tied for 2nd place; Colin Browning with “The Loire Poppy”, and Maureen Sargent with her photos “Rainbow” and “Murmuration”.

Hope to see you soon.

Full details will be circulated when they are available, but below are some provisional dates for your diary.

Photographic Competition

« Le Relax »

22 rue Michel Couet, 49160 Longué-Jumelles

Join us for a good meal and plenty of fun and laughter.   Roy Powell, our Treasurer, and Patricia Nickels, Vice-Secretary, have put together a light-hearted quiz to test your knowledge and memory and Terry Orner will ensure that we all follow the rules!  It is generally a case of good luck on the day and not necessarily the best brains that win.  Questions will cover French, British and World knowledge.  Teams will be formed on tables of 4 – 6 ensuring a mixture of nationalities on each team.  Prizes will be awarded to the winning team.

PHOTOGRAPHIC COMPETITION

This competition is open to all members and attending guests.

Entries must be original and all your own work.

Entries should focus on our region and preferably be in landscape format, the size should be between 18x 24 cm and 24 x 30 cm. Entries should also be available in digital form.

Each entry must be labelled with your name (on the reverse) and a caption. The sole prize for the winning exhibits is the pleasure of seeing your pictures displayed on our web site and Facebook page.

Participants should arrive by 11.45 a.m. to enable their exhibits to be displayed before the aperitifs are served.  Alternatively, entries may be posted to Dorothy Morison, 5 rue Jean Luc Rapado, Trèves, 49350 Gennes-Val-de-Loire, for receipt by Wednesday 11 February 2026.
