Lunch at at the Wok Rainbow Chinese Restaurant

Mme Lynn Turnbull

Lunch-time

"What a fantastic Chinese meal", was a comment made by one of our members, about the meal we had last Sunday at the Wok Rainbow Chinese Restaurant in Bagneux/Saumur. The lunch was very informal and relaxed with thirty-three members and guests attending. Everyone was asked to bring a small amusing gift, and the gifts were exchanged, in celebration of the forthcoming Chinese New Year, these ranged from candles to hair spray and egg timers to toilet brushes.

The self service buffet was of a high standard, some members and guests making the most of the "all you can eat" principle, working on the idea that, the more you ate, the more exercise you got walking back and forth to the servery thereby cancelling out the calories! Did it work? I doubt it!

Our Vice-President, John Barritt, thanked Lynn Turnbull and Pat Curd for organising the event and echoed everyone's opinion that it had been very successful. He also reminded everyone that February's meeting will be held on February 15th and will be the annual quiz, so bring your brains along!
